Executive TEAM

John Fitzgerald

PRINCIPAL
Mr. Fitzgerald has over 25 years hands-on construction and management experience. He is a graduate of The Bolton Street College in Dublin, Ireland, where he trained as a master carpenter. Mr. Fitzgerald has a wide breadth of experience with hotel, bar, nightclub and restaurant construction. His extensive resume includes retail, landmark and commercial projects, including owners representation. Mr. Fitzgerald is involved with every detail of his projects from concept through build out. He value engineers all projects to achieve quality results while supervising cost adherence and timely completion.

Brad Pascarella

PRINCIPAL
Mr. Pascarella has over 15 years of construction supervision and real estate experience in both commercial and residential markets. Mr. Pascarella started his career in the early 2000’s in the field of property and lease management of commercial properties. His strengths include consultation for real estate and construction, management of client relations, supervision of team’s decision making processes, and management of full project team. Mr. Pascarella is intimately involved with all pre-construction activity, contract negotiations and management of bidding processes. He manages construction teams with the emphasis on quality, cost, and timelines. He reviews, negotiates and approves project change orders, approves monthly requisitions by evaluating percentages complete and supervises the construction closeout process. Mr. Pascarella attended Havard University’s Real Estate Program and attended Loyola University of Chicago. He is actively involved with Manhattan Community Board 4, Landmark/Land Use Committee, Meatpacking Business Improvement District Board and the Waterfront Parks and Environmental Committee. Mr. Pascarella has an extensive resume in retail, residential, landmark, office and commercial construction projects.

Al Gelsomino

PROJECT EXECUTIVE
With over 50 years of experience in all facets of the construction industry, Project Executive Mr. Gelsomino has been responsible for preconstruction activities such as logistical planning, site safety plan development and estimating. He has handled document management, construction procedures, project management and sustainable design assistance. Mr. Gelsomino attended Pratt Institute with a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management. He continued his education at NY University School of Continuing Education in Electrical Design. Mr. Gelsomino over 30 hours of OSHA training. He has executed projects worth approximately $400M with ranges of building types such as colleges, hotels, banks and hopsitals.

Robert W. Geerlof

PROJECT MANAGER
Mr. Geerlof has over ten years of experience in the construction industry. He has completed many Mid and large-scale projects throughout the NYC metro area during his tenure at Noble Construction, James E. Fitzgerald, Skylight Development, and now at his current company, SLNY Management. His responsibilities include project management, project development, risk management, and oversight of project activities, from pre-construction through completion. In addition, he is a NYC DOB licensed Superintendent and NYC DOB licensed Site Safety Manager. In addition, he has his OSHA 30-hour certification, DOB 64 Hour Supervisor SST, and numerous other certifications. Lastly, he received his Bachelor of Finance and Business administration from Muhlenberg College and is currently pursuing his Masters of Science in Construction Management at Florida International University.

Chuck Savage

VP of MODULAR
Chuck is a modular construction executive with more than 43 years in the design and construction of modular projects throughout the Northeast. Chuck has been the lead on some of the most influential and ground-breaking modular construction projects in the industry. During his time within the modular construction industry, Chuck has built over three million square feet of educational facilities throughout the greater New York/New Jersey metropolitan area along with over 4,000 apartments using modular construction. In addition, Chuck has built dormitories at various colleges and universities. Having worked for both modular manufacturers as well as the general contractor’s side of the modular industry, Chuck understands what works best to be completed at the factory and what is better suited to be completed on site with conventional methods. Chuck also brings his extensive knowledge of how modular manufactures construct the buildings so that he can educate the subcontractors as to what their scope of work on site will be so that there are no overlaps between their work and the work of the factory. Notable Projects include, leading the team for the first entire college campus to be built in the country using modular construction at Middlesex Community College in Bedford MA. The “Stack”, the first multi-story/multi-family mid-rise all steel frame modular building to be built in New York City. The first new student dormitory at Yale University at Pierson College. The largest modular student housing complex in the United States at Pace University which incorporated over 200,000 square feet at their Westchester County NY Campus. Linden Place the first multi-family modular building in the United States to be LEED Platinum, Passive House, Net Zero, and Energy Star Certification.

Mary Filocamo

Controller
Mary Filocamo joined SLNY Management Corp. in April 2022, where she oversees all financial matters. She brings over 25 years of accounting experience in Construction and Development with a focus on NYCHA, SCA, and high-volume projects over 100 million. With a solid understanding of the construction process and strong mathematical abilities, Mary’s multidisciplinary expertise allows her to navigate complex construction projects and provide financial insights. Mary has a BS in Finance.
